This clip is from “The ’60s on 6 Great Radio Stations Salute” which aired in 2006. Terry “Motormouth” Young weaves together Seattle area mentions, actual airchecks of Mike Phillips, Larry Lujack, and John Stone, and a preponderance of KJR jingles.

At the time I had XM, and was able to listen to this…
As I recall, Terry did a pretty decent job with the salute; I mean, it’s not going to exactly be like it was in the 1960s, but for someone who had never been to Seattle, it sounded good.
Alky beach?
ASScargo – no, it only smelled like that. (Asarco Copper Smelter)
The aroma of Tacoma. Aw, gee! Smells like my hometown.
I somehow missed hearing Terry Young back then. Sounds good.
Terry Young is an XM personality, not from KJR.
