KCAL’s Alan Mendelson Passes


Megan Meier, reporter for KGUN 9/Tucson, leaves the station after serving two years with the ABC affiliate, this week being her last–her next move is to be announced…Max Tarlton, reporter, is not saying what his next move is, but his says he considers himself a survivor for lasting three years with KION 46/Monterey, CA. Brutal!…Longtime KCAL 9/Los Angeles reporter Alan Mendelson, known around the station as the “money man,” has died at 70. Mendelson worked for KCAL9 for more than 25 years. During that time and throughout the 1990s, he provided consumer news through his “Best Buys” segment where he would explain where to get good deals on everything from electronics to clothes.
