4/8/22—
After 4 years, today is my last day at KIRO 7 News. šŸ“ŗšŸŽ„šŸŒ¦
Today is bittersweet. Seattle is home. I was born here, I went to school here & now I have had the honor to work here & forecast for my friends and family.
Thank you to everyone ā¤ļø from the loyal viewers to my amazing coworkers! You have made these last 4 years amazing.
Seattle will always be home, but itā€™s time to check out the other coast & take on my next adventure at Fox 5 DC! āœˆļø #lastday #careermoves #DCHereICome

  1. I like Clair Anderson sultry voice and personality. I normally whatch a few different Seattle news channels and noticed that she was the start of a news trend. Never Duplicated good luck in DC !!!

  2. That Claire Anderson was born in Detroit in 1891!!! You need to read everything before you make judgemental comments. Good grief.

    1. The info that Edith Gutierrez was quoting was a poorly written bio, a short article written for that website in haste by people selling these services in order to get clicks ($) Often times they don’t know their subject and get the information wrong, as in the Claire Anderson story. Unfortunately, not only will some people believe it, but the article will be copied word for word on other sites.
Claire’s bio says nothing about Detroit, but people believe what they see on the Internet and that is how conspiracies are born.
Claire looks fabulous for being 131.

  3. Claire, I always loved watching you on KIRO 7. Its sad to see you leave. I know you will be as great there as you were here. Good luck in your adventure. Anyone is lucky to have you work for them!!

  4. Maybe Claire was born in Detroit, but if her only memories are of growing up in Seattle, she might not have an affinity for Detroit and wants to claim Seattle instead. It is her right to build her publicity file as she desires. But, good question. You might contact Claire at FOX 5 in Washington, DC and let her know you want to get to the bottom of this.
The information on the web that claims she was born in Detroit, was not written by Claire. Who do you trust?

  5. Someone is lying. Claire Anderson claims she was born on Seattle. Another posts of her bio claims she was born in Detroit, Michigan.

Who is telling the truth? Glad KIRO hired mature and appropriately dressed fill ins.

  6. Thank you Claire Anderson!
My family enjoyed your positive energy and cheer with the weather. You have been a great addition to the KIRO team and we are sad to hear that you left. All the best to you in D.C.

  7. Lately I’ve really been missing the old days when I had the same anchors every night. Jean, Susan, and Cathy. Same goes with KIRO and weather people. I really got to like Claire. I want to watch KIRO, but they’re making it hard. King is my 2nd choice, but there’s no anchor there that I want to watch night in night out. KOMO is not even in the equation as long as they have Sinclair ties. I won’t watch them

    1. We are fortunate in the greater Puget Sound Area/Seattle area to have 3 solid news stations. I like them all for different reasons and the different people they have and the different strengths and personalities they bring to the table. King Evening has Greg Copeland (super nice, easy going personality with a genuine affable personality and easy smile), Jennifer Jenner Castro (solid in many ways), and the never aging and super nice Joyce Taylor. In my opinion, those anchors are all solid and, as evening anchors go, the best of the 3 networks. With respect to the weather anchors, though, I agree with you; none of the King weather folks really resonate with me. Our local weather anchors – none call out to me. My favorite is Kristin Clark of KOMO. I have loved KING’s Rich Marriott’s quick wit and personality for years, and will until he retires.

They all have their strengths and they are all great in their own way. We are fortunate to have solid networks and choices.

  8. I agree with Rene. She brought class and elegance. No matter the weather.
    I will miss you. Katie

  9. Very, Very nice looking young lady. Spruced up the news cast, especially the weather- even if it was nasty out- she was good to look at. Come Back Home , as soon as you can. Remember, THERE’S “NO” PLACE LIKE HOME… XOXOX

  10. We’ve enjoyed watching the Kiro-7 weather presented
so artfully by Claire Anderson. We’ll miss her very much.
Best wishes to her new job on the east coast

  11. We always e.njoyed Claire’s presentatio n and knowledge of the western Washington weather. Come back to Enumclaw soon.
