Spurious Emissions: A Mid-Summer Rant

Skyview Networks’ syndicated host and Top 40/Rhythmic KPWR/Los Angeles morning host Nick Cannon has been fired by VIACOMCBS for making anti-Semitic remarks during a recent podcast in which he talked about conspiracy theories about Jewish people and praised a minister notorious for anti-Jewish comments…

Congratulations to KNUC/The Bull morning host Corey FITZ, and his wife Bethany, on the birth of twin sons Bowie Lee and Bodie Kingsley Fitzner…The name Kingsley is in honor of the late syndicated radio host Bob Kingsley. FITZ hosts the NEW Bob Kingsley’s Top 40 Countdown…Your thoughts?…

FOX 13/KCPQ news anchor, Travis Mayfield, took time out to enjoy the sunshine. Travis, in a boat, on a lake (Washington), eating caviar. White privilege?…Where is the guilt, Travis? Apologies forthcoming? …

Salem (Oregon) Reporter’s Rachel Alexander Tweets: I’m a bit ashamed to admit this, but I did not fully realize how much growing up both white and well-off kept me from getting in serious trouble at school until I started regularly interviewing Black and Latino kids about school discipline…

Rachel, maybe good behavior and following the rules had more to do with it than you realize. Anyway, apology accepted. Now, relieve yourself of all that white guilt.

More white guilt, from Seattle city council member, Debra Juarez. “We have this moment to harness real change, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rebuild our police department. I support reallocating the SPD budget and investing in communities that have lived with the ravages and inhumanity of racism.”

Someone give Debra Juarez the telephone number of a Crisis Center, so that if someone breaks into her home, or if she is assaulted, she can call someone who cares. The police may not be available.

DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN — Derek Deis, morning news anchor at KXLY/Spokane, Tweets, “Whoa. I just walked out of work with a totally random song from the early 90s in my head and when I turned on my car, it was playing on the radio.” #mindblown

Stay hydrated, Derek!

Looking toward the future, this news from the Los Angeles Times, The 132nd Tournament of Roses Parade will not take place on Jan. 1, 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic. California is shutting down again. Governor Newsome loves his magical powers.

  1. Magills Glockstore? I clicked on that image and it caused a shutdown of my AOL. What’s up with an ad on here?

    1. I’m sure it is a plot dreamed up by Trump. Why, I don’t know. But, he must have a reason for bringing the virus to us and everything else he has done to destroy the unity Obama brought to America. Before Obama, America was never great. Michelle basically said this. The veterans of WWII, not sure what they think of her remarks.

  2. At this point, I will probably vote for Biden…but this increasing throwing around of the White guilt idea, could really rebound against the Democrats…I do not remember being given a choice, before I was born, as to what race I would become…it was not up to me, and seems like a silly non-issue….any privilege I was given involved going to school, decently respecting authority, and working my way through life…and I know many folks who are not white, who have done the same thing. Having said that, the atrocious way that Trump is mishandling the Corona virus debacle does not get my endorsement.

  3. The BLM won’t look beyond her skin color. She is a white racist, as all whites are, to BLM radicals. So, she gets money from the Tribe and sucks off the government tit also. Yet, is a Marxist.

When this is all over, I ask that you all please remain at least 6 feet from me.

Good night from CBS News. Courage!

  4. I,m sorry Jason, but Governor Brown is making the right decisions. If we all cooperate, we can get this pandemic over with and go on with our lives. We all must make sacrifices with our lives from time to time. I,m missing all my outdoor summer shows myself. We cannot ignore problems and expect them to go away. By the way, my check is in the mail. This is Ed Bennett, good day. (in case any network people are reading this)

    1. I think people can enjoy a parade, outdoors, wearing those life-saving masks.
      (Good night, and good news!)

    2. Debora Juarez’s guilt is kinda off-white. She’s a member of the Blackfeet Nation and grew up on the Puyallup Reservation. Her mother was Native American and her father was a first-generation Mexican-American.
