KOL Radio, Magazine Advertisement – 1971

Reader, Scott Kirkpatrick writes: I have a copy of an old; BULLFROG INFORMATION SERVICES A NORTHWEST MAGAZINE AUGUST, 1971 VOL. 1 NO. 3. The inside of the front cover has an illustrated, color advertisement for KOL Radio Seattle.
Cheers, Scott

Scott was kind enough to share. It must have cost KOL a pretty fair dollar or two, for a color display such as this:

  1. How many fans of PugetSound.Media think that’s a picture of an unidentified flying object full of little green men from Mars?

How many of you had an RCA Receiving Tube Manual on your bedside table?

How many remember when you had to wait for the radio to warm up?

I bought my first tube manual in 1968 when I enrolled at Northwestern School of Electronics. Imagine 657 pages of riveting, mind-boggling data and diagrams for just $1.75, the cost of five issues of Mad.

If you have time on your hands, download your own copy here:

    Sleep well.
