Tacoma Baseball to be heard on KIXI

For the first time since 2019, the Tacoma Rainiers are set to return to the radio in 2024, as 144 Rainiers game broadcasts can be listened to on KIXI 880 AM.

The pre-game show begins 15 minutes prior to first pitch and the post-game show is 15 minutes long, beginning immediately following the final out.

Games will also be heard simulcast on 106.9 FM HD channel 2, live stream feed on KIXI.com, and live stream on official KIXI App. Similar to previous years, fans can also stream Rainiers games on milb.com/tacoma, both at home and when the team is on the road.

  1. It will be easier to get the online stream of the Rainiers from KIXI than to attempt to stream through the MiLB site (needlessly difficult).

I guess iHeart has no interest in anything Tacoma for 85 KHHO (formerly Tacoma’s K T A C) iHeart really sucks. Rainiers were last heard on KHHO before it went to Black Information network. Wonder what the ratings are for that station now.

  2. Apparently no one with the Rainiers has ever tried tuning in KIXI from Tacoma after it goes on night pattern. Back in the mid-’90s, they had a deal with KMPS 1300 to carry games, but they were also on KLAY.
