Darren Dedo, anchor/reporter for 97.3 KIRO Newsradio, has been hospitalized for bilateral pneumonia. Dedo is in intensive care and a GoFundMe page has been set up to help with medical expenses.
Dedo has been with KIRO since April 2022. Previous to KIRO, Dedo’s career included stints as tv news anchor Nexstar/Kansas, evening news anchor for Hearst tv/Jackson, Ms., anchor/reporter at KCPQ Fox 13 (2005-2010), news anchor for Clear Channel radio/Jackson, Ms., and tv news anchor for Emmis/Roswell, NM.
According to info on his condition, Dedo was hospitalized with what the doctors believed to be common pneumonia. Overnight, his oxygen levels dropped, and he was placed on a ventilator. The doctors have now determined that he has bilateral pneumonia. He was transferred to another ICU unit, where they discovered that his lungs have hardened. Through ECMO, his body is being kept alive to allow his lungs to heal.
So tragic. I hope this is not another result of the “safe and effective” COVID-19 jabs and boosters.
