Update: Brainless In Seattle; KING 5 Producer Tweets & Then Goes Into Hiding

One might think a KING 5 field producer/Evening Magazine (updated to reflect her position at the station more accurately. Thanks Tony T.) would have more sense than to Tweet something like this. Anne Erickson has since changed her account to PRIVATE.

By revealing their political ideology, the people of the news media help viewers choose which tv news channel they will watch and which stations they will turn away from. This behavior is apparently condoned by Julie Wolfe, KING 5 News Director.

  1. They admittedly hire based on race, gender, ethnicity, and/or ideology. Qualifications seemed to be considered as an afterthought. A tweet like Ms Erickson’s seems to fit in with the agenda driven station they have become.

BTW For most of my life they were the news station I consistently watched. The last decade or so has changed that and journalism has long left the KING5 station. Sorry Dorothy.

    1. I watch KCPQ 13– until I hear that there are hiring issues. Diversity is fine, but an agenda which weeds out one particular race, admittedly some more qualified than the new hires, there is a problem with that.
