KNKX Host Retires

After 30 years on the air at 88.5 KPLU, now KNKX, Dick Stein will retire as of December 4th. There will be a three-hour on-air going away party on your radio dial at 88.5, connecting you with Jazz, Blues, NPR News and Dick Stein, one last time.

  1. Dick’s distinctive voice and warm delivery made his jazz program a real pleasure. I listened weekdays at 9:00 A. M. right after the news block from NPR. I would have guessed that it was closer to forty years ago.
