Locast – Another reason to disconnect your cable

Locast.org is a public service to Americans that provides over the Internet the local broadcast signals of select markets. All you have to do is sign up online, provide your name and email address, and certify that you live in, and are logging on from, an available city (“Designated Market Area”). Then, you can select among local broadcasters and stream your favorite local station.
Seattle is one of the local markets. Locast provides all the local channels and their digital subchannels. This FREE service is also available on devices like ROKU, so that you can stream it on your television.
Locast began offering the Seattle-Tacoma tv stations in October 2019. There were a few glitches after the rollout, but upgrades have been made. The service is user-friendly.
