Mascot vs. Call Letters

Remember when the call letters – K J R – were enough of an identity for the #1 top 40 station in Seattle? Over the years, stations have abandoned 3-letter calls and now refer to their stations as mascots, such as The Wolf, The Jet, and in Minnesota, The Kangaroo. What’s next, The Tapeworm?
