KISN in Portland was renowned for its great promotions. During the holidays they ran their annual Turkey Give-A-Way and the KISN Carol Tree.
KISN had some of the best jocks ever heard on radio: Legends like The Real Don Steele, Tom Murphy, Tom Michaels, Roger W. Morgan, Frank Benny, Pat Pattee, Johnny Williams, Jack Sunday (Gary Taylor) and the list goes on.
Below is a short aircheck of Tom Michaels. It was recorded in November ’67. Tom was focused on sharing his 910 (quantity nine hundred ten) birds with lucky KISN listeners. The aircheck is bright and nostalgic with KISN jingles, old gold and even an ad for the Carol Tree.
