88.5 KNKX has hired Northwest Jazz radio veteran Carol Handley as its new Director of Music Programming, starting August 20.
Handley comes to KNKX with decades of music programming, management, and on-air experience in the Seattle market.
KNKX Tacoma, broadcasts from studios in Seattle.

That is fantastic news! KNKX has made a very smart choice! Carol & jazz radio have gone hand-in-hand here in Seattle for many decades & she knows the genre inside out. She’s not afraid of new music & artists either – the station and listeners will benefit well from this decision. Personally, I’ve felt her talents were wasted at KBCS & have been hoping she’d re-appear on a major station.
