The Next Big Thing: Comcast/SPRINT Merger

Comcast recently began offering wireless (cell phone) service to existing Internet customers. The service operates on the same network used by Verizon. This is not a merger with Verizon. The MERGER between COMCAST and SPRINT is more likely. Once the trial period ends, and Comcast begins offering wireless service to the general public, expect a DONE DEAL between the cable giant and Sprint…The Comcast wireless service is not without bugs. Comcast touted technology that automatically connects your cell phone to your home wi-fi seamlessly. This allows calls and data usage via wi-fi rather than through your wireless plan. THAT DOESN’T WORK and Comcast store reps have verbally acknowledged this snafu. Until this and other issues are worked out, you should hold off on switching to Comcast wireless services. A joint deal between Comcast, Charter cable and Sprint is currently in negotiations.
