  1. Loved KZAM (FM) Bellevue back in the day (70’s). Great DJ’s especially the ladies that did an excellent job.
    Oops…dating myself…

    1. Been bugging me since I posted this. Leilani McCoy was one of the DJ’s I was trying to remember. First station I remember that did albums in the late evenings.

    2. Speaking of ladies in broadcasting, Leslie Nielson, the Slim One, was in my class at broadcast school (LH Bates-Tacoma). She went on to KNBQ Tacoma, WLS Chicago, 610 KFRC San Francisco, and later KKHR. https://youtu.be/1ZvBlCjehtg

About Leslie, Victor Stredicke had written in our BROADCASTER page,
Leslie Nielson – Slim did not divulge a more formal name on KPLZ 101.5, in 1979. The Tacoma native previously had worked at KNBQ 97.3 Tacoma, KLAY FM Tacoma and KODL The Dalles, Or.

A “Star 101” website reports Slim is retired and living in Arizona. (VOS2013)

      1. Also in that class at Bates Voc-Tech, Sam Lawson, presenter of great air checks here at Puget Sound Media.
