Nielsen PPM ratings for Seattle 12+ for Oct. are now out. “MOViN 92.5” KQMV retains top spot again this month with a slight edge over #2 classic rock KZOK. “MOViN” posts a 7.4 share, while KZOK which was tied last month shows a 6.1 share. Continuing third place, “The Sound” 94.1 KSWD rates a 5.2 & also again in #4 spot news/talk KIRO-FM at 5.0 this month tied with “Warm 106.9” KRWM. Winners this month showing gains were news/talk 94.9 KUOW up to 5.0 from 4.5 which reverses a downward trend over the past 4 months. Also gaining ground, country “The Wolf” 100.7 KKWF up to 4.9 share. Classical KING-FM, Christian AC “Spirit 105.3” KCMS & jazz/news/blues 88.5 KNKX, & rhythmic CHR 93.3 KUBE all posted increases this month. There were 4 stations that showed ratings lower than their previous 4 month average: classic hits “95.7 The Jet” KJR-FM down to a 3.8, 99.9 KISW drops to 3.7 & country 98.9 “The Bull” KNUC down to 3.5 & “The End” 107.7 KNDD at 3.4. This may reflect summer vs fall listening trends. Losers this month included “Star 101.5” KPLZ trending down from 2.8 to 2.4, 106.1 KBKS “KISS” continuing it’s downward slide from 2.7 to 2.2 and Spanish regional Mexican music 99.3 KDDS “La Grande D” down to a .3 share. Top AM this month was “710 ESPN” sports 710 KIRO-AM at 3.8, news/talk KOMO AM/FM maintaining an average share at 3.1, & “Sportsradio 950” KJR-AM continuing it’s 4-month gain at 1.7. Adult standards/gold-MOR 880 KIXI also maintains it’s average with a .9 share as does Christian talk 630 KCIS at .5. Complete ratings for the month available at Radio Online
