Louis Wasmer: pioneer Wash. broadcaster

Pioneer Wash. broadcaster Louis Wasmer built & operated one of Seattle’s early radio stations – KHQ.  As competition heated up with more & more signals coming on air in Seattle, Louis packed up his transmitter, strapped it to his motorcycle & headed east settling in Spokane.  In addition to 590 KHQ, Louis owned/operated 1510 KGA & 970 KREM at various times throughout those stations’ histories.
