Radio tower fire at Tiger Mountain

Thanks to a tip from Gord Lansdell at “Northwest Broadcasters” comes news of a major fire at Tiger mountain’s master antenna tower.  This affects KSWD-FM 94.1, KBKS-FM 106.1, KJAQ-FM 96.5, KZOK-FM 102.5, KNUC-FM 98.9  and KQMV-FM 92.5 who are now all operating from their back-up, auxiliary facilities on Cougar Mountain.  The fire broke out around 7am and Eastside fire depts. responded.  By 8am, the fire which occurred at the top of the antenna tower system was extinguished.
