Brian Calvert drops TV gig, remains on-air at NewsRadio 1000/97.7

(Facebook) Time to say goodbye for now.
This morning and tomorrow morning, I’ll finish my commitment to my friends at KOMO News. I am so thankful to have had the summer to reconnect with my friends in the building, and so many who watch. I love storytelling, whether it’s a news story, or talking about the weather…it’s always been an honor to be able to be a part of your day.
Thank you so much Phil and the management team for this wonderful homecoming experience. And thanks to my buddy Shannon whom I love dearly.
I’m not leaving morning radio, and will be back behind the mic Tuesday morning. It’s just a difficult life balance doing both TV and radio. Who knows, maybe there’s more television down the road?
Whatever the medium, I thank you for your kind words, and for allowing me to be a part of your life. It’s a priveledge to be a broadcaster, and I’ll do it proudly until the day they take my microphone away.

  1. I’m glad he’s leaving TV as far as I’m concerned he’s a phony with his died hair and beard I figured he’d probably been fired from Komo News Radio I haven’t listened to them in months

KOMO Channel 4 television would be smart

They’ll put Hannah Knowles back in the morning newscast on the weekend like they announced it the one week and then she disappeared she’s got a great screen presence does the news great and you know what she can read the weather forecast just like Brian Calvert did because I know he wasn’t a meteorologist they’ve got enough staff at Channel 4 Sinclair to come up with a forecast and Hannah can do it
