(FB) I have some news for those of you who have shared the past decade-plus with me at KING 5. Tomorrow is my last day on the air here. This is a picture from my first day at KING TV (Aug. 2011) in SkyKing.
Working here has been an amazing experience, especially considering this is my hometown. Not many journalists get the opportunity to do that.
As for what’s next, I have some exciting things lined up. Not quite ready to share the exact details, but I will soon. I’ll still be very involved in the community.
To my KING 5 colleagues, I’m so proud of the work we’ve done together, especially over the past two years. We have spent more time with each other than with our families. We been through good and bad, and I love you all.
To those who have watched at home, I appreciate you more than you’ll know. Join Joyce Taylor and me for my last show tomorrow (Friday) at 3 p.m. on KING 5.

Mark Wright is Ryan Yamamoto’s caucasian, low-t counterpart; bland and forgettable.
Wow. Are there any left? I cut the cable and have no idea what’s going on. But I did flee Tacoma and moved to Olympia. That’s helped my constitution quite a bit.
Life is good in Oly. I live in Lacey, more rural and quiet.
I would hang from a short rope or drive over fire hydrants to get out of TV if I worked for any of these freak shows today.
Weeding them out one by one.
