After a major insider alerted me Sunday to more cuts coming at KIRO 7 after its demolition of the sports department last week, a former news employee takes to X to add to the speculation.

Insider at Cox tells me most cuts have been decided upon but not announced, and non-renewals of contracts will be spun as people leaving on their own. This is somewhat the Scripps new model of letting talents who depart to frame it in their own words.
