Just old habit, I guess.
Before hair coloring and after.

Would you believe, other “weather girls” across the country are circulating similar Tik Tok/Twitter videos this week? It’s a copy-cat trend.
Ah the twittersphere……
I have a hypothesis to Abby’s question but our opinions are probably divergent.
The BEFORE is definitely more natural and beautiful than the plastic sensation on the right. What was the influence, Coriolis from the far left, or the far right?
Yep, I was an Amateur Meteorologist when Henry M. Downs was the Chief Meteorologist for the U.S. Weather Bureau at Sea-Tac Airport in the 1960’s. At that time, the U.S. Weather Bureau offices were located just below the old control tower in the main Sea-Tac airport complex. Back then there was NO “TSA” and no coppers looking for one-eyed terrorists! I was there when Radiosondes were launched with the big Helium filled weather balloons.
It was a FUN time at age 13, on the air before school with my sponsored weathercasts on Ed Garre’s KASY-AM in Auburn (“Little Detroit of the West”) with Brian Caulkins and Terry McMonagle (SP?), and on KMO AM 1360 with Buzz Barr during the late night Columbus Day Storm on October 12, 1962, and on KAYE AM 1450 in Puyallup with Henry Perrozzo.
Those days were REAL radio!
You covered some years with those names and stations!
Hey John “Froggy”says hi!
Or Shut up! Rather. Inside joke.
