I am beyond grateful for my 21 years @komonews. I have decided to not seek a new contract. My last day is Friday. I have been lucky to work alongside the best at KOMO and in the Seattle Sports Media. Sports Director, Mike Ferreri, Quits KOMO
The current sportscaster on KOMO 4 who took over for Mike Ferreri and Femi A. Is absolutely awful. He is so bad that I will be watching other sports coverage.
Femi Abebefe is now an anchor at the Sports Betting Network, VSiN. Not sure whether he will be moving to Vegas or feeding it to VSiN via Skype.
I too will miss one of my favorite sports broadcasters..seems the station has watered down the sports side,or maybe its just the inexperienced newbies coming aboard….dont know. I see Mike has a linkedin account as a Windemere Realtor..hope you will do well selling people their dream homes. Going to miss you. Good luck!
