Dirk Van was the host of NBC Radio’s “First Light” morning magazine show. He was an NBC Radio Correspondent and anchored daily newscasts as well.
Van broke into radio in 1977 while doing graduate work in Anthropology at New York University. He became News Director of WGCH, Greenwich, Connecticut, general assignment reporter for all-news WCBS, New York, and News Director of WHN, New York during the following three years, staying at WHN until he moved to the NBC network in 1988.
