Seattle Radio Morning Shows

Brooke and Jubal (KQMV Movin’ 92.5) are nationally syndicated, but Seattle has a few other morning radio shows that deserve honorable mention. KISW’s BJ & Migs and KZOK’s Danny Bonaduce keep the NO B.S. chat going between commercial blocks. These are not your typical, phony, morning zoo programs…Clearly, not from around here, the new morning show at Country 98.9 KNUC is Tim Leary and the Morning Showgram, including Leary and co-hosts Claire Beverly and Karen ‘Red’ Daiss to host mornings. The show runs from WUBB/Savannah, GA. Booo!…The newly hired News Director at KIRO 97.3 is Ryan Maguire from WQAM/Miami…KUOW journalists have elected to unionize their team, becoming members of SAG/AFTRA.

I don’t know Danny Bonaduce’s numbers, but I think that KZOK has done a poor job of promoting him. He is a personality of note and yet I never know if he is still at the station.

I have no idea as to what his numbers are but the entire station has slipped in ratings over the past several months. And now that they are owned by iHeart, they even have censored songs since iHeart will not allow certain lyrics to be aired…example: Eagles “Life in the Fast Lane” has the verse about being up & down this ***road….they use to play it as recorded when CBS owned them but not now.Given the way ratings are going,I wouldn’t be surprised if KZOK changes format in the future…remember it’s all money and ratings now.

Agreed. Bonaduce is invisible. No promotion. Seattle does a very poor job of promoting some of the incredible talent they have.
