MSNBC disputed a report of a riff between network hosts, claiming that Rachel Maddow hasn’t said anything on air or off air about Morning Joe’s Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski meeting with Trump. While an unnamed source at MSNBC revealed that chaos erupted yesterday morning when an enraged Rachel Maddow stormed after Mika Brzezinski backstage, igniting a fiery confrontation that left onlookers stunned. Witnesses say Maddow, visibly seething and red-faced, cornered Brzezinski in a hallway and unleashed a tirade, branding her a “sanctimonious fraud” and an “authoritarian enabler” over her meeting with President Trump at Mar-a-Lago. The two women had not spoken for over a week. According to a witness, the altercation left Brzezinski visibly shaken and in tears. A producer stepped in to separate the pair, physically guiding Maddow away from the scene. — Any other company would have fired Maddow for such a confrontation.

Mediaite reported: Morning Joe (Joe & Mika Brzezinski) hasn’t dropped as much as other MSNBC shows. Between the third quarter (pre-election and Trump meeting) and November, Morning Joe lost 14% of its audience. In comparison, the network’s prime-time 9 pm hour hosted by Alex Wagner (and Rachel Maddow on Mondays) was down 32%.
Ratings might improve if MSNBC would change up the midday schedule and add MSWWE. On this program, MSNBC talkers would battle it out in the ring. Joe Rogan ringside.
