Bonneville lay-offs continue, as broadcast companies hand out holiday pink slips

This is by no means an all-inclusive list of firings across the nation this week– we are just picking a few business cards from the fish bowl…

Antoine Davis exits the midday slot at Bonneville Adult R&B 102.9 KBLX in San Francisco after over 20 years at the station earlier this week. Davis began his career with KBLX in 1998, serving as a weekend host while concurrently hosting the evening slot at Rhythmic CHR 97.7 KWIN in Stockton. He returned to KBLX from 2003 to 2012, during which he hosted position middays and afternoons.

Firings will continue until morale improves

— Len Berman and Michael Riedel exit mornings at Conservative Talk 710 WOR as part of the iHeart holiday ass-kickings, its biggest round of layoffs since January 2020.

The blood-letting frenzy ramps up as Cumulus cuts in the Bay Area with a pair of longtime hosts at Sports 680 KNBR/104.5 KNBR-FM San Francisco. Former NBA forward Tom Tolbert exits afternoons at KNBR after 28 years with the station. Barrett Sports also reports that midday co-host John Lund has exited. Lund joined KNBR in 2016 from crosstown KGMZ to co-host afternoon drive.
