KNKX New Hires; KXLY’s Streaming Newscasts

Emil Moffatt is KNKX‘s new All Things Considered host and reporter. Moffatt comes to KNKX (Tacoma) from Atlanta where he covered the state legislature, the 2021 World Series and most recently, business and technology as a reporter for WABE. Emil Moffatt has also worked for NPR member stations in Kentucky and Nashville after beginning his radio news career in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. …Joining KNKX earlier this month, Freddy Monares is the new All Things Considered producer. Freddy Monares has covered politics, housing inequalities and Native American communities for a newspaper and a public radio station in Montana…KXLY 4/Spokane is experimenting with an online news anchor project. Rob King will be the first online anchor for the station. King comes to KXLY from KUZZ newsradio in Bakersfield, CA. Rob King was KUZZ’s afternoon Anchor/Reporter. Rob earlier worked at OC News where he assisted in production and anchored. He started at KUZZ/KCWR in January 2020.
