Walter Cronkite understood and respected the necessary role of journalists to report the facts without opinion and in seeking truth you have to get both sides of the story. The same remains true today with so many platforms to access information.
I am so grateful to be at the starting line with this talented and dedicated team launching a national newscast in primetime that is rooted in those same fundamental principles.

She claims gratitude for being allowed to get and tell truth from all sides ala Cronkite.
But – with a straight face – CNN, MSNBC and Fox all call themselves news channels.
All one can do is wish and hope.
My problem…It appears that my cable company–Ziply(recently took over frontier) is not listed as being a carrier of WGN….anyway, is this network another conservative outlet for news?…or is it more mainstream legit?

Channel 008?
I watched WGN Channel 9 news when I lived in Phoenix from 1985 to 1993, anchored by Rick Rosenthal and Pat Harvey. Is this the same station with a new slogan?
Right now it seems to be the place to binge watch the old shows that made me throw away my television set.
