There is hardly a Music Survey, during this particular era, when you wouldn’t find a hit from The Supremes. This 1967 survey, from Vancouver’s C-FUN, features the original members of the Supremes (Diana Ross, Mary Wilson and Florence Ballard) at #5 with their hit “The Happening”.
Sadly, co-founder of The Supremes, Mary Wilson, died in her sleep yesterday (February 8th) in Henderson, Nevada at the age of 76. Mary, along with the other Supremes, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.
