SOUND ON: OK, Boomer! It’s Q Z V X — Say it with me…

Listening to the recent MEDIA INSULTANT (intownmedia.com/media-insultant) podcast and Jackson Dell Weaver creams the Q Z V X site identification, calling us “QZVC or something like that.”
It’s 4 (four) letters for goodness sakes! Keith Samuels had a good word for us, but c’mon! Oh, and that comment “They’re all over the place.”
True, we don’t do just ONE THING. We juggle lotsa plates here. History PLUS current events. Jackson mentioned 415. I think he was referring to Rich Lieberman’s site. He got half that site name right.

At least our name matches our URL…

Since I am critiquing others, let me say Rich Lieberman of 415Media
(richliebermanreport.blogspot.com) should shelve the vidcast format and stick to print. It takes 14 minutes or more of viewing to get to a salient point. Not that I have a short attention span, but Lieberman does a lot of hemming and hawing and needless jawing, burying the lead.
And, I’m being nice.

There are fewer radio-TV sites these days. Don Barrett closed up shop in Los Angeles years ago and has since passed on. Radio-TV sites have been closing right and left. I don’t know if the bloggers are just aging out/tiring out or whether it is simply finances. On the other coast, there is FTVLive in Florida. Scott Jones’ postings are overly politically-opinionated, but that’s his prerogative.

There are still at least three of us here in the Pacific Northwest. That includes Media Maven/Wayne Lynch (tvnuggetmaster.blogspot.com) and PugetSoundRadio.com from The Great White North/Canada. That’s Michael Easton’s site. If you look at PugetSoundRadio.com, you’ll see that they do “Song of the Day” and Today in History, plus an occasional political item or something some might consider, conspiracy theory. You might say “They’re all over the place.”
