Emmett Watson/Seattle P-I – May 22, 1963
There they sit, those dandy disc jockeys at KFKF, right in a corner window where the Bellevue-ites can study the specimens. So on a fine hot Monday, Dick Stokke was in the middle of a newscast when past his window went a well – stacked bikini. In mid sentence, sStokke let out a Whee-eew wolf whistle. In moments, the phone jangled. It was a woman listener. She was, she explained, sunbathing in her backyard – – and all she had on was KFKF. “When I heard that whistle,” she yelled, still out of breath, “I ran for the house. Stokke, don’t you ever do that again!”
