  1. Ross is a legend. More than earned his retirement.

Bonneville is considered one of the better operators, but a lot of their decisions regarding KIRO the past few years are truly baffling. I wonder how long Curley will hang on there, he’s got enough other work he doesn’t need the gig, but is still one of the better at what he does.

      1. As with your comment on Rantz, please give me a few specific reasons you feel that Curley should be labeled ‘whacko’? No generalizations please. Give specific examples to support your belief.

  2. Confirmed that current ND Charlie Harger will replace Dave and work for a new ND when everything takes place. I wonder if the new boss will be an outsider or someone like Bill Kaczaraba who is currently the digital director at 97.3. He has been a news director at Root, NWCN and KCPQ. This could be his superfecta if he wants it. I believe Charlie was a reporter at the old KOMO news, but this would be his first news/talk time slot.

  3. Perhaps BJ Shea can make his way over to Eastlake and begin his next chapter. He might be a good fit over there.

    1. Travis Mayfield already fills in at times….maybe he is next in line and familiar with the surroundings and maybe even a leftover morning following from KCPQ a.m.

      1. I just woke up from a dream. It went something like this:

        570 KNWN – All News
        770 KTTH – Gee & Ursala move to 770
1000/97.7 KVI – John Carlson, Ari Hoffman
97.3 KIRO – Jason Rantz mornings, Travis Mayfield or dead air 9-Noon

      1. Because Charlie is replacing Ross. Done deal with plenty of time to find the news boss by the new year. tvuggetmaster.blogspot.com
