Chet Buchanan seeking justice for Reba


(FOX 5/Las Vegas) Former Seattle radio personality Chet Buchanan, now with 98.5 KLUC/Las Vegas, is using his platform to seek justice for Reba. Reba, the bulldog, died after being discarded in a plastic tote. The person responsible sealed her into a plastic tote at a time when temperatures topped 110 degrees. The bulldog died from her conditions related to heat exhaustion.
Buchanan has set up stands in convenience store parking lots around the Valley from Aug. 27 – 30 to hand out “Justice for Reba” t-shirts and flyers. Buchanan says police are still pouring over clues and the person with the tip leading to the arrest of Reba’s abuser will be awarded $50,000.

Bill Anderson, GM at KRQE News 13/Albuquerque has died. Anderson was named GM in 1999. Anderson’s television career began with a marketing internship at WITI Milwaukee in 1979.

Former Bakersfield news anchor Rusty Shoop has passed away at the age of 76 after a battle with cancer. Shoop died Tuesday at his home in Morro Bay. He started his TV career in his hometown of Eureka in the late 1970s and moved to Bakersfield in 1984 to work for KERO. Shoop anchored the first morning newscast at KGET in 1991.

KIRO 7 anchor Niku Kazori dropped out four months ago to de-stress and assess her career goals. She has landed now at KABC 7/Los Angeles. Sometimes you have to take that leap of faith for your own sake.
