Bees broadcaster passes; Multitasking in Spokane

Sad day at the ball park

Utah sports-broadcasting veteran, Steve Klauke, the voice of the Salt Lake Bees baseball club for 29 seasons, has died at the age of 69. Klauke retired in September 2023.

Spokane CAN be in your future!

Stephens Media Group is looking for the next On-Air/Off-Air Pro for its CHR/Top 40 KZBD (105.7 NOW-FM) in Spokane, WA.

On Air Pro – First and foremost, you’re main focus will be brand ambassador as you host middays on our 100kw CHR station and work as the “face of the station” at community events, live broadcasts and station events as well as online through the station’s social media accounts.

Team Pro – You’ll be part of a team that includes Country, Classic Hits, Variety Hits, Rock and Sports. On-air ability on other formats may be needed at times. As part of the team you’ll also help brainstorm and execute promotions that are a win-win for the audience and our clients.

Digital Pro – You’ll be helping the cluster with some of our digital efforts; stations newsletters, social media, etc. Strong writing skills are a plus as well as basic image editing and design.

They are asking a lot. This is more than a 4-hour shift and voicing a couple of spots. Is this an ad for an Operations Manager? So, who wouldn’t want to work in Spokane for the pay that this job must bring? Plus, the bonus income from each remote and other station events. What? $29 an hour…$32 ???
