Suzanne Phan leaves KOMO 4 to reunite with husband, Ryan Yamamoto. Yamamoto is the 5pm anchor at KPIX tv.
Phan Tweeted: “Friends…I’m getting ready to leave Seattle. My last day at work at KOMO News is Tuesday, July 26th—about a week left on the job. I’m looking forward to moving to SF and joining my husband Ryan there in the Bay Area. More to come later. For now, I just wanted to say… #ThankYou
The folks at NWBroadcasters reviewed the premier of KSTW’s 10pm newscast. As we expected, the program emanates from KPIX San Francisco and featured KPIX reporters as well as some from Minnesota, New York and Dallas. NWBroadcasters counted about 10 minutes of actual local news. This newscast will not have a local feel to it and will disappoint many who hoped for better of CW11’s re-entry into the news arena.
WARM 106.9 DJ Shellie Hart is this year’s Seafair Queen. Torchlight Parade is Saturday the 30th.
CBS launched these newscasts around the country at non-news stations to create evening inventory for the onslaught of political ads upcoming in the mid-terms. Money to be made at a station without news for a decade and a half.
I’m getting the hang of “Seattle Now News at 10 on CW 11,” to be honest.
