You can’t go wrong with Spike Jones.
Back in 1966 or 1967 when I was a kid this station came in in Bellingham. About all I remember is they did a countdown of hits on the weekend. And Ballad of Irving by Frank Gallop was number 1 for six or more weeks. It’s a song only a novelty show would even get by with playing today.
Ballad of Irving was one of the better novelty tunes, in my humble opinion. I don’t think it deserved 6 weeks at #1, but we did listen to it quite a few times before tiring of it.
“Ballad of Irving” was the answer to “Ringo”. Frank Gallop also did the amazing “Got a Match?” All good records.

I remember my mom was absolutely convulsed with laughter every time she heard Ballad of Irving…:-)
Salmon Derbys! Those were the days! Elliott Bay would be shore-to-shore with rowboats. Maybe two or three Seattle style plutocrats had an Evinrude astern.
