Teasing something new and exciting, KING 5 asks viewers to wake up bright and early Tuesday morning for the big announcement.
THE BIG TEASE — KSTE FM 107.9 Sacramento returned to the air this week. The station began stunting on Wednesday, looping the Star Wars theme for 24 hours. A Cinco de Mayo theme ran on Thursday, Rebecca Black’s “Friday” played non-stop on Friday and today we hear Chicago’s Saturday In The Park…non-stop. The frequency had been vacant in Sacramento after KDND, its original user, was taken off the air in February 2017 as the result of continuing legal fallout from a 2007 contest that killed a woman.
Other than Jazz and Blues on KNKX FM, I find that National Public Radio programming is like sleep-inducing brown noise. A real snooze fest on weekends.

A new era: The Seahawks and KING 5 partner starting with the 2022 season. Whoop-dee… bad news for Q13 FOX.
Life goes on.

My exact thoughts too. I knew I heard Wixey sobbing off camera this morning.
With that said. Has to be a bit exciting for the sports folks at KING 5.

Aaron Levine, KCPQ 13 Sports Director points out that the majority of the Seahawks games will still be broadcast on FOX, so 13 captures that audience. Benefit to KING 5? Possible sponsorships of Seahawks related promotions. FOX has a lock on the game broadcasts.

I didn’t know KING 5 returned to its Seahawk telecast partnership roots after a decade’s break. Thank you, Fox 13, for that decade-long tradition.

Well it was announced a while back that they had a new person coming to the King five sports team and they had a Twitter post from Northwest broadcasters of sub co-anchor the guy was working when she was crying because she was losing her best friend at that station so why don’t you things we’re going to have a live sports reporter in the mornings on King 5 News versus a tape report, or Paul Silvi is going to retire
I agree with one of the other post on here the King 5 on-air personality staff is a revolving door for the last year plus it’s like they can’t have all of their regular staff on air do the regular shift for one whole week somebody’s always gone they’re bouncing people around I thought the weekend news guy that moved into Mark reitzel position and now I see that that guy’s back on Sunday so it’s a Non-Stop rotation. And I don’t understand why Joyce Taylor is on at 11 at night I would think she’s the number one broadcast journalist at King 5 and yet she’s not there for the main 5 News or at least one I watched she isn’t
And you got for weather casters at King 5 and that’s still not enough they’re always rotating or bouncing around Komo News has three and one was somebody’s off on the weekend they just have somebody from another TV station do the report

Mike, have you considered applying for a job at KING 5 as a news writer?

It would be really nice for us loyal viewers to be rewarded With a STABLE crew. I am tired of the roving door employee Policy and attitude by the management. I am about to change to pbs for my news.
