Alyana Gomez Has Left FOX 13

This FB post from january 13– (thanks to Alan Herring for the tip)
All good things must come to an end and it’s time to say goodbye to Seattle☔️
Tomorrow is my last day at FOX 13 News and unfortunately quarantine has robbed me of a proper goodbye to my incredibly talented colleagues and our loyal viewers.
Thank you for your love and support, it has meant the world to me! Your comments, messages and those of you who even stopped me in public to say hello…all of it has made my heart feel so full!
It was a whirlwind moving here with my family, right before a global pandemic that continues today.
Despite that, we’ve met some wonderful people who have made our time here feel so special.
Challenge and triumph was the theme of this adventure and we’ll take that with us forever 💙💚
So…you’re probably wondering what’s next? You’ll have to stay tuned. I’ll call it a homecoming for now. More details very soon 🙂

  1. Mrs Gomez you were my favorite and I never watched or played attention to the news until you joined Q13 … myself and others were wondering if you were still on the network ,it’s sad to see you go.i wish you well in your journey 👍

  2. Street scenes don’t say much for Seattle. It’s an angry town. I thought they stopped shooting movies in Seattle. Vancouver was the choice location.

    1. I lived in Seattle for seventy years, but never again. I just read a King5 story about a guy who twice threw a woman down a flight of stairs at the Jackson St. light rail tunnel station. She got three broken ribs, a broken clavicle, and then a kick in the face for resisting his third attempt. Prosecutors called the “alleged” assault “alarming”. I drove buses in that tunnel. There was no police presence, just a few security guards who might radio Metro and be able to persuade someone to actually call SPD.

Where I live now, I don’t lock my doors.

  3. I just watched a new 2022 high-tech suspense film called Kimi which takes place in Seattle. Alyana Gomez appears as herself anchoring on Q13, as does Brian Flores. Lots of good Seattle scenery. Even showed some of the Metro buses I used to drive.

    Good film.

  4. They come and they go. Over the past year or so, Alyana has been my favorite anchor. She made me forget about the TelePrompter. I just hope she doesn’t turn up on CNN, MSNBC, or Fox News.
