  1. When Maynard left KJR, he was temporarily replaced by a utility announcer, Dudley. Dudley had been at KTAC previously and I was a fan. I thought he was pretty cool. So, the first night that Dudley went on the air at KJR, and I don’t remember if this was on the shift to cover in Maynard’s absence or some other night, I happened to be listening. I thought it was kind of neat to be able to hear Dudley again and that he had made it to major-league radio KJR. So, Dudley comes on, in his first stop-set and introduces himself as “Dudley….on 85 KTAC.” I just about died, and he probably crawled under the console after that flub.
