Johnny Christopher Kowsky writes: Changes at KPND, Sandpoint, ID. The station has moved the transmitter to a location between Coeur d’Alene and Spokane, and is pumping 100,000 Watts into the combined markets. As of January 3rd, KPND made a big change by moving former 7-midnight personality Paul Meyers to morning’s, 6-10 am. Meyers has a ton of previous larger market experience, having worked on-air in San Diego, Phoenix and Pittsburgh.
For your personal listening enjoyment, I have attached a clip a listener recorded of my show on Sunday, following Coeur d’Alene’s annual Polar Bear Plunge. Happy New Year!

The KPND website still shows seven-year employee Victoria Frederick doing mornings. Looks like she’s been in radio for about fifty years including twenty-one at her previous stop, KKZX. Is she now a non-person in the Inland Empire?
Thanks, John! Sounds like it’s booming into Spokane then. Happy New Year!
