Pat O’Day offered Steve west a gig at KJRB to get him out of Tacoma and away from KTAC, which was a threat to KJR at the time. I would say Derek Shannon was just as much a great programmer and took KTAC to the next level.
A month or so ago, folks didn’t know the name of the Seattle Mariner’s catcher was also named “Tom Murphy”. Now, a good percentage of this town probably knows. Go M’s!
