KZTM 102.9 To Change COL/Xmttr Site

FCC AUTHORIZATION: Bustos Media will change city of license from Chehalis to McKenna and move their 102.9 KZTM transmitter site from Capitol Peak to South Mountain.
KXXO 96.1/Olympia also broadcasts from Capitol Peak.

102.9 call letter history: 1966 KGME-FM. 1968 KELA-FM. 1983 KMNT. 2004 KNBQ. 2011 KNBQ simulcasts sports talk KJR as 102.9 KJR (no change in call letters). 2013 KNBQ Adult Top 40 102.9 Now (June 19, 2013, KYNW call letters). 2016 KFOO. 2017 KFNY. 2019 Bustos Media acquires KFNY and changes call sign to KZTM.

  1. As Lotus may introduce a Hispanic music format on FM, it appears that Bustos is trying to get a jump on them with a better signal into Seattle and the South Sound. KZTM formerly served the Chehalis/Centralia area with a decent signal into Tacoma.
