    1. And God so loved the world, He gave his only begotten Son to be Director of Content. And Jesus said to his employees, These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peak ratings in all dayparts. In the world of competition you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the competitors.
Then Jesus was led up by the corporation into the conference room to be tempted by the News Director. And after He had toiled forty weeks and forty nights, He then became much-salaried. And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these newscasts become Edward R. Murrow award winners”
From that time Jesus began to show His on-air and newsroom staff that He must go to New York, and suffer many things from the consultants, corporate management and media bloggers. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “God forbid it, Lord! This shall never happen to You.” But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on corporate interests.”
Jesus came to a place called Big Apple.
And those at corporate headquarters were hurling abuse at Him, wagging their heads and saying, “You who are going to destroy the station… save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, bring us the awards and high ratings.”
The tv station’s news staff also mocked Him, coming up to Him, offering Him day old donuts, and saying, “If You are the King of the News, save Yourself and us!”
Others, to test Him, were demanding of Him higher Nielsen shares.
The News disciples then said to Him, “What sign do You show us as your authority for doing these things?”
And there was dissension all around.
There they crucified Him, and with Him the VP and General Manager, one on either side, and Jesus in between.
And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, “THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE NEWS.”
So security came, and gave the three some boxes in which to pack their belongings.
Around the newsroom, they divided up His office supplies among themselves, casting lots for them to decide what each man should take.
Now I would remind you, brothers of the news media, I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Jesus was on the beach for three days and that he was raised on the third day. And after three days, Jesus ascended to CBS 11 in Dallas.
Blessed be the God and Father of our former Director of Content, Jesus! According to his great mercy, he has infused KHOU/Dallas with hope, through the resurrection of Jesus from the unemployment dole.
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for producers, anchors, traffic reporters, and meteorologists , their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is lay-offs.

  1. I mean…who could possibly meet all of those above listed demands as a leader of a radio station?….forget all that tripe, and just play Jazz/blues music!

  2. It was a sad day when KPLU was sold. There is not a decent Jazz station left in the greater Puget Sound area. KFNY Centrailia selling to Bustos was the last one of the last to fall.
