Stevens replaced Casey Kasem as the host of “American Top 40.” His television acting credits include guest star appearances on “Beverly Hills 90210,” “Baywatch,” “The Larry Sanders Show,” “Caroline in the City,” “Clueless,” “Fast Track,” and “Burke’s Law.” Shadoe was the voice of “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” from 2005 to 2015, and has continued to be the voice of countless commercials and television shows including The Grammys, The Emmys, and Comic Relief.
Bonneville International/San Francisco Market Manager and Senior Vice President Carl Gardner has announced his retirement at the end of August. Carl Gardner joined Bonneville/Seattle in 2008 as senior executive, serving as Market Manager for the company’s radio and digital media assets in the Pacific Northwest: 97.3 KIRO-FM, 710 ESPN Seattle, AM 770 KTTH, and www.MyNorthwest.com. Before joining Bonneville, he served 17 years with Journal Communications.
What’s On TV? Redbox says it recently added 20 channels to the free ad-supported LIVE streaming service, Redbox Free Live TV. Included in the additions are Cheddar, Tastemade, Wired, Architectural Digest, Black News Channel, CBC (Canadian Broadcast Corporation), Go Traveler, Outdoor America, and Hard Knocks Fighting. Other recent additions to the channel lineup: America’s Test Kitchen, Complex, The Design Network, Real Nosey, Funny or Die, beIN Sports, Outside TV, Chive TV, Thrill One, Voyager Documentaries, Hungry and Just for Laughs Gags.
Speaking of Cheddar, Cheddar said it now has nearly 60 channels for its free-to-consumer, app-based service.
Redbox competes with dozens of similar FREE-to-consumer LIVE streaming television services.
Raymond Allen, the actor known for his roles as Uncle Woody on “Sanford and Son” and Ned the Wino on “Good Times,” died on August 10th, after a battle with respiratory issues. He was 91. The star of Sanford & Son was Redd Foxx, an American stand-up comedian and actor. Foxx died in 1991. His real name was John Elroy Sanford. The Sanford & Son tv show was so popular it ranked in the top ten virtually every week it aired. At one point NBC even ran the show twice a week.
