Looking forward to hearing the hydro broadcast. I like the wording that part of Lake Washington belongs to Bellevue. I guess that is one of the ways KFKF served their city of license. I remember when Jon Gold debuted on KAYE. Nicholls called that day their red letter day. I could write a whole book about that station. I never did see this article. Does anyone have a picture of the KVI kow?
Ed, if you will recall, most pictures in the newspaper were black and white, usually of poor quality. Now that you are prepared…this is the only picture of the KVI KOW that I could find. http://qzvx.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/KVI-KOW-introduced.pdf
Your right. It is smeared.
Ed,
Looking forward to your book about KAYE, or at least your recollections in future comments here. Thanks!
If I could ever find the time.
I have, from Sam Lawson, a nearly hour long hydro broadcast by O’Day and crew. Along with an interview where Pat tells his hydro stories. I just have not had a chance to put it all together so far…it is in draft form.
