Hearing them almost die laughing was half the fun! Used to Listen on Camano Island. Thanks for posting a great memory.
Thanks for having a memorable episode of Gary Lockwood’s Police Blotter on your web site. I just got a sudden urge and did a search and found this. I used to make sure I had the radio on for Police Blotter back in those days, living in the Seattle area. It ran for years. The stories are funny, but nothing is funnier than when he and Sgt. Rogers get laughing at the nonsense. I sent in at least one item, and I had a brother and friend of his who were in Colorado, I would send the programs to, and they also contributed several stories and Gary never knew how they heard his show. If you have more recorded episodes and can post them, that would be amazing. This one was a classic, and I thank you again for having it here. I was sorry to hear that Gary Lockwood had retired to Florida, and then even worse news when he passed away a few years ago. His show was fun and Police Blotter was the highlight up until they became a sports radio talk show and sent him packing.
After leaving work at Boeing Everett listening to this non sense. So many times I had too pull over on the side of I-5 as I was laughing so hard.
I went to Ron Bailies radio school while still working at Boeing. Ran into an old friend of my sister who was a highly rated jock in Hawaii. He told me drop the DJ dream as I was a radioman in the Navy in Vietnam but he said no retirement money or job security so I quit school.
By the way have you seen a program on the History Channel called Bitchen Rides ? There is a mechanic whose last name is Lockwood. Just wondering if he is kin to Gary ? ..
