New law on Non-Compete clauses

Scott Jones’ FTVLive today reports that a new law affecting non-compete clauses comes into effect Jan. 1 here in Wash.  Broadcast personnel take note:  Under the new law, non-compete agreements are void unless meeting a certain threshold. Non-compete agreements are only enforceable if a worker earns more than $100,000 a year, a contractor earns $250,000 a year and the employer discloses the terms of a non-compete when making an offer.  Agents who help out-of-state talent looking to land a job in our state will be aware of, & inform you of this new law.
