Best disk jockey I’ve ever heard. Thanks Rob for helping me get through high school in one piece (more or less): Beatles, Stones, CCR, Curtis Mayfield, Staple Singers, True Don Bleu, Rob Sherwood.
I remember Rob Sherwood came to our Radio Arts Class in High School in 1972. We’d seen his picture before, but when he started talking to the class, he sounded NOTHING like he did on the radio!. Then he got behind a microphone and there he was …. Roooooob Sherwood!
Yes, he came to our elementary school with the police to educate kids about drugs. The kids didn’t believe it was him untill he agreed to use his radio voice. He was the most famous radio voice, even more popular with the kids than true Don Bleu.
