As many of our readers know, “World Famous Tom Murphy” was a friend of The Real Don Steele when the two men worked together at KISN in Portland/Vancouver WA. I am working on a series of articles with “World Famous” and, in my research, I saw these interesting photos from 1964 — when Steele was running for President. In our series to follow, Reminiscences of “World Famous Tom Murphy,” Tom will describe working with Real Don Steele and standing on the bridge with “The Emperor” (that’s one of Steele’s nicknames). The photos were taken by Tom’s friend, and the official KISN photographer, Gino Rossi. This content was shared online in 2016 by the website DJ Master Control.

WHEN DON RAN FOR PRESIDENT
World Famous Tom Murphy stopped by as Don took over the Steel bridge in Portland. Of course Don wanted it renamed The Real Don Steele Bridge!
